Everything you need to know about going solar

Solar Bee is a Malaysian solar PV technology provider serving residential, commercial and industrial clients since 2014. We design and install solar systems and provide long-term support after installation.

Yes. Solar Bee is authorised by SEDA (Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia) to deliver solar PV projects and services.

We use first-tier products, including Jinko solar panels and Huawei inverters.

Yes. Our team settles most of the SEDA and TNB paperwork, so you only need to review and sign the required documents.

Solar panels still generate electricity on cloudy days, but at a lower output than in full sun. With an on-grid system, your property simply draws power from the TNB grid whenever your panels produce less.

With high-quality equipment and an optimal system design, a solar PV system is built for around 25 years of electricity generation.

We are based in Subang Jaya, Selangor, and serve clients across the Klang Valley and the rest of Malaysia, including projects in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan.

Solar ATAP is Malaysia’s rooftop solar scheme and the successor to NEM 3.0, in effect since January 2026. You use the solar energy you generate first, and energy exported to the grid is offset against your bill.

An on-grid home system works in parallel with the TNB grid. Your panels generate electricity during the day and your home uses that solar energy first, so you buy less power from the grid.

The residential systems in our featured projects range from about 12 kWp to 17 kWp. We size each system based on your roof and energy usage.

We start with a consultation, visit your site to plan the best panel layout for your roof, handle the SEDA and TNB paperwork, then install, test and commission your system.

Our commercial projects include LIKOM CMS Sdn Bhd in Melaka (626.4 kWp), RHB Complex Bangi (380 kWp), Dataran Maybank in Kuala Lumpur (81.2 kWp) and Al-Irsyad Mosque in Subang Jaya (63.8 kWp).

Businesses investing in qualifying green technology, including solar for own consumption, may be eligible for MIDA’s Green Investment Tax Allowance (GITA). We have helped clients obtain MIDA green investment tax incentives.

Yes. Through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) or a rent-to-own PV system, companies can go solar with zero upfront capital expenditure.

Our battery energy storage systems (BESS) use peak-shaving to release stored energy during periods of high demand, lowering peak loads and maximum demand charges.

A BESS stores electricity, such as energy generated by your solar panels, so it can be used later when you need it.

Peak-shaving uses stored energy during periods of high demand. This lowers your peak load and the maximum demand charges that come with it.

Yes. A BESS can store your solar energy for use when you need it, helping you make the most of every kilowatt your system generates.

An off-grid system runs independently of the TNB grid, using solar panels with battery storage to supply power.

Off-grid systems suit remote areas where grid access is difficult, such as remote housing, water pumping and farms.

Yes. Our off-grid energy solutions are designed to replace fuel generators in remote and farming areas.

With a PPA, the solar system is installed with zero upfront cost and you pay for the energy it produces under a long-term agreement.

A rent-to-own arrangement lets companies use a solar PV system without buying it upfront, with ownership of the system as the end goal.

Yes. For clients who prefer to own their system from day one, we provide a full EPC service, covering design, supply, installation and commissioning.
